Just last week, ProMedica believes it offers a unique local solution that would meet the needs of all major voters and preserve the UTMC as UToledo`s public hospital. Therefore, we decided to respond to UToledo`s request for a quote. Our proposal represents a model for the joint operation of the UTMC by UToledo and ProMedica, which would allow the UTMC to become financially viable. Under the model, UToledo would retain ownership and final control of UTMC, and ProMedica would provide management and other services. . A neutral external consultant is expected to review the submission of proposals and make recommendations to the University of Toledo Board of Trustees.
